The Merrow M-30-3 specialty crotchet stitch sewing machine produces a decorative “shell” or “crochet” edge (sometimes called blanket stitch, whipstitching, or overcasting) on textile goods. It’s especially suited for serging a decorative border stitching and/or reinforcing edges on knitted or woven fabrics. Merrow machines are known for their heavy construction, cam-driven mechanisms, and high precision tolerances which contribute to durability and stitch consistency.
