The Merrow M3DW is a three-thread overlock serger setup with a fine pearl edge stitch. It's often used for patches, hemming, lingerie edges, lightweight garments, and ornamental edges that resemble a fine “pearl” or scalloped effect. Built with Merrow’s signature cam-driven architecture, the M3DW delivers smooth, quiet operation, extreme durability, and consistent stitch quality over long production runs. Its specialty lies in producing an overedge seam with minimal bulk that enhances the garment’s edge without detracting visually — the “pearl edge” effect is subtle yet elegant, lending a refined finish to delicate fabrics. Thanks to its engineered feed, differential adjustment, and tight tolerance components, the M3DW can handle lightweight to medium fabrics with minimal distortion. It is also capable of variable stitch per inch and has an automatic oiling system.
